A Family Wedding - A What? Part I - Planning and the Ceremony

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

By Nily Glaser A wedding is always exciting. A lot of planning and preparation go into action so that the wedding will be memorable meaningful and as one-of-a-kind as the marrying couple. Yet, each couple has consideration unique to them. There are couples where both partners marry for the first time. There are couples where one or both partners have been married before but have no children. There are couples where one or both partners have been married before and have children. And there are December couples who often have children and grandchildren. This article is dedicated to couples that will have a “blended” family once they are married. That is, children will have a new parent and possibly new siblings. Many, though not all marrying or re-marrying couples are looking for ways to integrate the children into the wedding ceremony and - or reception in such a way that it will become a Family Wedding. Some people wonder; Why should a wedding not be dedicated to the bride and groom alone? Why should it not be “Their Day”? There are two main reasons.Children need reassurance. They need to know that they are welcome and wanted by both parents and new siblings. Most parents WANT their children to be an integral part of the wedding and celebration. We at A-wedding Day are often asked to suggest ways to involve the children in their parent(s) wedding. The following are ideas, implementation of which depends on the ages and abilities of the children and the degree of involvement the marrying couple wishes to dedicate to them. Children must always feel that they are IMPORTANT especially now, when their parent is marrying a new life partner. LET’S BEGIN WITH PLANNING AND PREPARATION. Children who are old enough should be asked to put on their thinking caps and help with the wedding planning and preparations. Their input should always be taken into consideration and if possible acted upon. Children can make recommendations ranging from wedding themes to color schemes. They can suggest decorations, favors and centerpieces and help make them. Some parents even let the children help address envelops and - or stuff them. Of course children of driving age can run errands as well. It is not uncommon for parents of older children to have sons lead the bride and daughters lead the groom to the altar. It is also very important to make a big fuss over shopping for the children’s wedding attire and special accessories, making it an exciting family affair. WE’LL CONTINUE WITH THE CEREMONY First come the obvious. If the children or grandchildren are not grown ups, they should be given the duties of a Flower Child and Ring Bearer. Before they assume these duties however, if they are old enough, children could be in charge of having the guests sign the guest book and in charge of escorting guests to their seats. During the ceremony, after the bride and groom exchange vows, they may integrate vows dedicated especially to the children. Children who are old and responsible enough, should participate in the Unity Candle ceremony. Here there are a few options. If only one or two children are involved, they should be given their own tapers and join the bride and groom in lighting the pillar candle. However, if more than two children are involved, they should receive their own tapers but rather than light the pillar candle, light their tapers from it. Only if they choose to do so on their own, the candle lighting ceremony is a perfect opportunity for children who are old enough to congratulate the bride and groom and acknowledge the new family union. Right after the Family Unity Candle ceremony, is the best time for the new husband and wife to give each of the children a piece of jewelry. Whether it is a 3 bands, personalized, engraved sterling silver Family Unity Ring, a Family Unity pendant (exclusive to A-wedding Day, or some other keepsake item, it should be followed by a BIG welcome hug. Some engraving ideas for the 3 in 1 ring could be: Band 1: Child’s name Band 2: With Love Band 3: Wedding Date. IMPORTANT NOTE! The bride and groom exchange vows. It is also customary for brides and grooms to present special vows - promises to the children. BUTNEVER request that a child will present wedding vows to the adults. A special article dedicated to this will follow soon The reception offers as many opportunities for involving the children as there is imagination. There are also the obvious toasts, dances, special responsibilities and tasks. An article dedicated to involving the children in the reception will follow soon too. Introduction to Oil Painting Techniques

Monday, May 26th, 2008

By Ralph Serpe Oil paint is an amazing versatile medium. It can be applied in a thick buttery fashion or thinned down to a watery consistency. This versatility opens the door to a number of different painting techniques. My personal preference is to begin my oil paintings by first sketching out the composition using acrylic paint or with water-soluble oil paints. The popular approach to oil painting is to thin the paint with turpentine to apply your initial layers. Turpentine is quite toxic and I prefer not to work with it. Acrylic or water-soluble oil paints can be thinned down with plain old water and are more pleasant to work with in my opinion. You can also begin your oil painting by first drawing out your composition. There are a few drawing mediums that work quite nicely with oil paints. My two favorites are vine charcoal and water-soluble pencils. I prefer vine charcoal because it doesn’t smudge like other charcoals and it can be erased easier. Water-soluble pencils are wonderful because they can be applied like ordinary pencils and can be spread around like paint with a damp brush. If you are the impatient type, you may want to try your hand at the Alla Prima oil painting technique. The Alla Prima method is when you complete the painting in one sitting rather than paint in layers and wait for the paint to dry. Although I usually prefer to work out my paintings in layers, I occasionally enjoy this exciting and spontaneous approach to oil painting. If you are the careful, patient type of painter, you may be interested in working with the glazing technique. Glazing has lost popularity these days, partly because of the time needed to complete such a painting and it’s difficulty, but the results are something truly unique to any other type of oil painting technique. The composition is first painted with an opaque monochrome underpainting, usually in shades of gray. After this initial underpainting is thoroughly dry, thin layers of transparent oil glazes are applied. Colors are not mixed directly but added in separate layers to get the desired color. If you are the adventurous type, put the brushes aside and try a set of painting or palette knives. You can achieve some very interesting results with knives that aren’t possible with brushes. The oil paint can be spread on thickly and scraped off with ease. What I enjoy most about using knives is the tendency to not focus on the small details. I am forced to paint in a more relaxed fashion that creates an impressionist style painting. Get yourself a set of painting knives and try to complete an entire painting with just the knives. It’s challenging at first if you are used to brushes, but it’s an enjoyable exercise. Perhaps you would like your painting to have more body and texture. You could try the impasto painting technique and apply your paint in thick heavy strokes, leaving evidence of all those wonderfully artistic brush strokes. Take a look at a Van Gogh painting and you will see this technique in action. It’s really no wonder why oil painting is such a popular choice for painters. There is so much to discover in oil painting. You will never get bored trying out all the wonderful tools, mediums and techniques. The Most Powerful Word in Marketing

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

By Bob Serling It isn’t “free”. It isn’t “you”. It isn’t anything you might imagine. So what the heck is the most powerful word in marketing? Because what I’m about to reveal to you is so important, I want to ask you to do something a bit out of the ordinary to set the stage. Whether you’re sitting or standing, lift your right foot off the ground about two inches and hold it there for a count of three. Did you do this? If not, I really want you to take a few seconds to do it now, because it will hammer home the importance of what I’m about to tell you. So go ahead. Lift your foot up about two inches, then hold it for a count of 1-2-3. The power of a single word to drive people to action If you went ahead and did my little exercise, you’ve just experienced the profound effect of the most powerful word in marketing. So now do you know what that word is? It’s embedded in both the requests I made of you to lift your foot and do my goofy little exercise. That word is - drum roll please… Because Studies have proven that no word has more power to motivate people to take action than “because”. Simply adding this word to a request, to a statement, to a call to action, the number of people who respond go up exponentially. Hey, it got you to lift your foot up for a three count, didn’t it? Why the word “because” is so effective In the classic book “Influence - The Psychology of Persuasion”, Dr. Robert Cialdini talks about the power of certain words that tap into preprogrammed behaviors we all have. He demonstrates this form of human automatic action in a study conducted by Ellen Langer,a Harvard social psychologist. Langer asked a favor of people standing in line waiting to make copies on a Xerox machine at a library. Her first request to cut the line was stated using the word, “because”: Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xerox machine because I’m in a rush. The results? 94% of the people she asked let her jump ahead of them! Now, compare this to the second request she made, without “because” embedded in it: “Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xerox machine?” Using this version of the request, results plummeted to just 60%. To prove the powerful ability of the word “because” to trigger an automatic response, Langer’s final test used just the word without a specific reason: “Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xerox machine because I have to make some copies?” This almost non-sensical version produced nearly identical results to the first “because” statement. A whopping 93% of people complied and let Langer jump ahead of them. “Because” is a simple word with a powerful ability to trigger an automatic response in most people. How to start using “because” to your advantage There are dozens of ways to start taking advantage of this powerful trigger word in your copy. Here are just two examples. (1) Use “because” in your headline. Because your life may depend on it, you owe itto yourself to find out how a common garden herbcan reduce your chance of heart attack by 47% (2) Use “because” in a call to take action. Instead of, “Hurry, seating is limited to just 60 people. Don’t risk missing out. Enroll in this all-day event now”. Use, “Because seating is limited to just 60 people, don’t risk missing out. Enroll in this all-day event now”. But don’t just stop there. Because this knowledge can be so effective for improving the selling power of all your copy, spend some time brainstorming other ways you can put it to use today! Antibiotics And Their Types, Uses, And Side Effects

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Yury_Bayarski] Yury Bayarski An antibiotic is a drug that kills or slows the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics are one class of antimicrobials, a larger group which also includes anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic drugs. Antibiotics are chemicals produced by or derived from microorganisms (i.e. bugs or germs such as bacteria and fungi). The first antibiotic was discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928 in a significant breakthrough for medical science. Antibiotics are among the most frequently prescribed medications in modern medicine. Some antibiotics are ‘bactericidal’, meaning that they work by killing bacteria. Other antibiotics are ‘bacteriostatic’, meaning that they work by stopping bacteria multiplying. Each different type of antibiotic affects different bacteria in different ways. For example, an antibiotic might inhibit a bacterium’s ability to turn glucose into energy, or its ability to construct its cell wall. When this happens, the bacterium dies instead of reproducing. Some antibiotics can be used to treat a wide range of infections and are known as ‘broad-spectrum’ antibiotics. Others are only effective against a few types of bacteria and are called ‘narrow-spectrum’ antibiotics. Side effects of antibiotics Antibiotics can literally save lives and are effective in treating illnesses caused by bacterial infections. However, like all drugs, they have the potential to cause unwanted side effects. Many of these side effects are not dangerous, although they can make life miserable while the drug is being taken. In general, antibiotics rarely cause serious side effects. The most common side effects from antibiotics are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting. Fungal infections of the mouth, digestive tract and vagina can also occur with antibiotics because they destroy the protective ‘good’ bacteria in the body (which help prevent overgrowth of any one organism), as well as the ‘bad’ ones, responsible for the infection being treated. Some people are allergic to antibiotics, particularly penicillins. Allergic reactions cause swelling of the face, itching and a skin rash and, in severe cases, breathing difficulties. Allergic reactions require prompt treatment. Types of antibiotics There are many different kinds of antibiotics. The type of antibiotics you take depends on the type of infection you have and what kind of antibiotics are known to be effective. The main classes of antibiotics: AminoglycosidesCephalosporinsFluoroquinolones MacrolidesPenicillinsTetracyclines Macrolides There are a couple of new relatives of erythromycin (azithromycin and clarithromycin) that work the same way, but kill more bugs and have slightly fewer side effects. The erythromycin-like antibiotics are also known as macrolides. Macrolides belong to the polyketide class of natural products. Macrolide antibiotics are used to treat respiratory tract infections, genital, gastrointestinal tract, soft tissue infections caused by susceptible strains of specific bacteria. Macrolides bind with ribosomes from susceptible bacteria to prevent protein production. This action is mainly bacteriostatic, but can also be bactericidal in high concentrations. Macrolides cause very little allergy problems compared to the penicillins and cephalosporins, the biggest concern with these medicines is that they can irritate the stomach. The most commonly-prescribed macrolides: erythromycinclarithromycinazithromycinroxithromycin Aminoglycosides Aminoglycoside antibiotics are used to treat infections caused by gram-negative bacteria. Aminoglycosides may be used along with penicillins or cephalosporins to give a two-pronged attack on the bacteria. Aminoglycosides work quite well, but bacteria can become resistant to them. Since aminoglycosides are broken down easily in the stomach, they can’t be given by mouth and must be injected. When injected, their side effects include possible damage to the ears and to the kidneys. This can be minimized by checking the amount of the drug in the blood and adjusting the dose so that there is enough drug to kill bacteria but not too much of it. Generally, aminoglycosides are given for short time periods. The aminoglycosides are drugs which stop bacteria from making proteins. This effect is bactericidal. The most commonly-prescribed aminoglycosides: amikacingentamicinkanamycinneomycinstreptomycintobramycin Cephalosporins Cephalosporins are grouped into “generations” by their antimicrobial properties. Cephalosporins are categorized chronically, and are therefore divided into first, second, and third generations. Currently, three generations of cephalosporins are recognized and a fourth has been proposed. Each newer generation of cephalosporins has greater gram negative antimicrobial properties than the preceding generation. The later-generation cephalosporins have greater effect against resistant bacteria. Cephalosporins are used to treat pneumonia, strep throat, staph infections, tonsillitis, bronchitis, otitis media, various types of skin infections, gonorrhea. Cephalosporin antibiotics are also commonly used for surgical prophylaxis. Cephalosporins are closely related to the penicillins. Cephalosporins have a bacteriocidal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacteria cell wall. The most commonly-prescribed cephalosporins: First generationcephazolincefadroxilcephalexincephradineSecond generationcefaclorcefuroximecefprozil loracarbefThird generationcefotaxime cefiximecefpodoximeceftazidimecefdinir Fourth generationcefepimecefpirome Fluoroquinolones Fluoroquinolones are known as broad-spectrum antibiotics, meaning they are effective against many bacteria. Fluoroquinolones are used to treat most common urinary tract infections, skin infections, and respiratory infections (such as sinusitis, pneumonia, bronchitis). Common side effects of fluoroquinolones include mainly the digestive system: mild stomach pain or upset, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. These are usually mild and go away over time. Fluoroquinolones should not be given during pregnancy. Fluoroquinolones inhibit bacteria by interfering with their ability to make DNA. This activity makes it difficult for bacteria to multiply. This effect is bacteriocidal. The most commonly-prescribed fluoroquinolones: ciprofloxacingatifloxacingemifloxacinlevofloxacinmoxifloxacinnorfloxacinofloxacintrovafloxacin Penicillins Penicillin was the first antibiotic discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1929. Penicillins are used to treat skin infections, dental infections, ear infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea. Penicillins are sometimes combined with other ingredients called beta-lactamase inhibitors, which protect the penicillin from bacterial enzymes that may destroy it before it can do its work. Penicillins are usually very safe. The greatest risk is an allergic reaction, which can be severe. People who have been allergic to cephalosporins are likely to be allergic to penicillins. Penicillins block the construction of bacteria cell walls, causing the walls to break down, and eventually killing the bacteria. The most commonly-prescribed penicillins: amoxicillinampicillinbacampicillinoxacillinpenicillin Tetracyclines Tetracyclines are a family of antibiotics used to treat a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. Tetracyclines were discovered in the late 1940s and were extremely popular when they were first discovered. The tetracycline antibiotics have a very broad spectrum of action. Tetracyclines are used to treat mild acne, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Lyme Disease, upper respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases, typhus. The most commonly-prescribed tetracyclines: tetracyclinedoxycyclineminocycline Antibiotic resistance Antibiotics are extremely important in medicine, but unfortunately bacteria are capable of developing resistance to them. Antibiotic-resistant bacteria are germs that are not killed by commonly used antibiotics. When bacteria are exposed to the same antibiotics over and over, the bacteria can change and are no longer affected by the drug. Bacteria have number of ways how they become antibiotic-resistant. For example, they possess an internal mechanism of changing their structure so the antibiotic no longer works, they develop ways to inactivate or neutralize the antibiotic. Also bacteria can transfer the genes coding for antibiotic resistance between them, making it possible for bacteria never exposed to an antibiotic to acquire resistance from those which have. The problem of antibiotic resistance is worsened when antibiotics are used to treat disorders in which they have no efficacy (e.g. antibiotics are not effective against infections caused by viruses), and when they are used widely as prophylaxis rather than treatment. Resistance to antibiotics poses a serious and growing problem, because some infectious diseases are becoming more difficult to treat. Resistant bacteria do not respond to the antibiotics and continue to cause infection. Some of these resistant bacteria can be treated with more powerful medicines, but there some infections that are difficult to cure even with new or experimental drugs. Bible Prophecy 2-”Earthquakes & War”

Friday, May 9th, 2008

By Anthony Smith In part 2, of our Bible Prophecy series, we will look at earthquakes, War and their effect, not only on mankind, but of how they are effecting prophecy. Earthquakes have always occurred from the foundation of the earth. Why then are earthquakes so important now? The number and locations are the devideing factor between the earthquakes of the past and the ones that we are experience today. What is a earthquake, trembling or shaking movement of the earth’s surface. Most earthquakes are minor tremors. Larger earthquakes usually begin with slight tremors but rapidly take the form of one or more violent shocks, and end in vibrations of gradually diminishing force called aftershocks. On average about 1,000 earthquakes with intensities of 5.0 or greater are recorded each year. Great earthquakes (intensity 8.0 or higher) occur once a year, major earthquakes (intensity 7.07.9) occur 18 times a year, strong earthquakes (intensity 6.06.9) 10 times a month, and moderate earthquakes (intensity 5.05.9) more than twice a day. God has built in a natural safety valve into the earth for expansion and contraction. This safety valve is called an earthquake. The number, magnitude and location is important in understanding the Scriptures that deal with the end days. The first scripture that we will deal with is Matthew 24:7. 1.For nation shall rise against nation, ( The number of wars are continuing to grow each year. In just my life time, I have seen, Wars in Viet-Nam, Granada, The cold war with the Soviet Union, Iraq 1, Iraq 2 , Afghanistan, Israel and all their wars with Egypt, Iran, Syria, East Bank, and the Gaza Strip, ect and The unseen war with the extreme elements of Alqaeda and The Nation of Muslim fanatics The Soviet Union and Afghanistan) and 2. kingdom against kingdom: The Muslim Nation is divided concerning Jehad and the way to convert all men to Mohmmad-ism. The United Nations are split into pieces barely holding on, because of the division among all nations.) and 3.there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. ( This section is easy to understand and relate to, India, Pakistan, Africa, Bird Flue, ect. The fear of another pandemic is growing among not only the people of earth but also the medical community.) (In recent years, and especially in 2005, we have seen earthquakes occur in China, Pakistan, America, South America, Japan, China, Philippens, The Soviet Union, ect.) Mark 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. (these are the beginnings of sorrows.) The Bible tells us in the end days, there will be a significant change in the nature of the earth and the attitude of man. Why is all this happening? The will of man, his pride, arrogance, lust for power, possessions and fame, have over ridden the will of God and man kinds love for one another. Hate, distrust, fear, suspicion, prejudice, have all become the catalyst for many a disaster in the world and will be the down fall of man. To prove what I have already said, lets look at two sections of Scripture from the Book of Revelations. 1.Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen( This is past occurrence and future prophecy.), that great city ( The habitation of the Babylonian People and the Spirit of Babylon that has changed man-kinds attitude.), because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. (Fornication. Extramarital sex)(Sex here means a departure from the Truth of the Bible to in-joining of false doctrine and a criminal conversion from The Truth of scripture to follow after all manner of cult activities.) (that willfully and maliciously inter-fears with marriage relations. Criminal conversion.)(People that try to worship God on one hand and embrace false doctrine on the other.) 2. Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils (Devils in this instance means, People of Hatred, confusion, Cruel and inhuman people, haters of God and haters of man, demonic), and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. (The word Bird in Rev. 18:2 means, A cry or noise to display contempt or displeasure, an out cry of hate and prejudice.) If you’ve noticed in Rev.14:8 and 18:2, the phrase, is fallen, is fallen is repeated. Why? In Hebrew when a subject or word is mentioned twice, it signifies that the event mentioned will occur twice. Babylon the City was destroyed, The spirit of Babylon will also be destroyed. This is what is starting to occur today. The Nations of the world have become what God has already destroyed once, Babylon. Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers (Many) places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights (tsunamis) and great signs shall there be from heaven. ( Meteorites, Meteors, Comets.) Rev 11:13. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell (Jerusalem ), and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand:(a tenth part of the city’s population)(This signifies a population at the time of this earthquake at 700,000 people) (The population of Jerusalem, as censored at the end of 2003, was 693,200 people.) and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.(References; Isa 22:5 For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord God of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains. Zec 14:3-7; Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.) Rev 16:18-19 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city (Jerusalem) was divided into three parts,(EU Wants Israel to Divide Jerusalem. 15:51 Nov 27, ‘05 / 25 Cheshvan 5766 By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu) (For the past three years we have been reporting that the time is coming when the world will force Israel into dividing Jerusalem with the PA. Well that time is here. Watch over the coming years for a “political move ” to use the estab-lishment of the next Jewish temple as a bargaining chip for Israel to divide its capital. The division of Jerusalem would fit into Bible Prophecy. We must keep in mind that the Lord declared that once the Jews took possession of Israel again (1947) it would never again go back into gentile hands. Hence, half of Jerusalem does not constitute a full surrender of it. I believe this issue could be the spring board that Satan will use to bring forth his false Messiah, the Anti-christ. God’s plan for the end of the ages and the beginning of Messiah’s reign is moving forward with pin-point accuracy!) and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. ars. end pt. 2. Twelve Tips From Strategic Thinking For Home Builders To Produce More Strategic Marketing Efforts

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

By Glenn Ebersole All businesses need to engage strategic thinking and planning in all aspects of their business, especially the marketing plan for the business. In working with custom home builders as part of my business coaching practice, I discovered only a few of them ever recognized the value of being strategic in their thinking and planning and had limited themselves to lower levels of success. Fortunately, after they opened their minds to being more strategic, their outlook changed and they started putting some tips on strategic marketing to good use. One of the most vivid and remarkable examples was one custom home builder that went from one of their worst years in business to a record setting best year in business after committing to a strategic marketing approach. Based upon previous experience and some research, your strategic thinking business coach offers the following twelve (12) tips to home builders for more effective strategic marketing of their business. 1. Engage in strategic thinking and planning when developing your strategic marketing plan for your home building business. You may consider hiring a professional, such as a business coach, to facilitate and guide you in the preparation of your strategic marketing plan. 2. Conduct a SWOT analysis to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats associated with your home building business. 3. Identify your most desired clients and your ideal client profile to define who it is that you really want to market to for retaining existing clients and acquiring new clients. 4. Analyze your competition. Do some basic market research by visiting other home builder web sites, talking to competitors employees and review their booths at trade shows, talk with our competitors subcontractors and vendor representatives. And monitor their advertising to see what direction they are heading. 5. Develop clearly defined and measurable goals and monitor your progress. 6. Develop a strategic integrated marketing communications plan to make sure you have planned for effective messages to your target markets. 7. Develop a market position based upon identified opportunities. Clearly define the market position and focus on providing different benefits than your competition. Develop a positioning statement for your home building business. This can be used as a tag line that will help build brand loyalty and communicate benefits and features that your target market can relate to. 8. Incorporate and use the power of referrals as one of your key strategies in your strategic marketing plan. 9. Create and live by a strong code of ethics and company core values. Demonstrate in all that you do each day in your home building business that these core values and ethics are how you conduct your business. 10. Commit to a continuous improvement philosophy in your marketing efforts. And commit to finding the lessons learned in the mistakes and failures and then taking action in the future based upon the lessons learned. 11. Commit to a continuous marketing mentality. Your marketing efforts need to be continuous and not a one shot deal or a sometime activity. It is al all the time activity. 12. Develop an effective customer contact management system with a goal of achieving Top Of Mind Awareness (TOMA) with your clients, prospects and stakeholders. Your strategic thinking business coach encourages you to use strategic thinking and planning in the development of your strategic marketing plan for your home building business.
